The SPCA Needs CPR!
Hurricane Matthew was more than a natural disaster for the Space Coast. In addition to the physical damage caused by the storm to our area, it has caused extreme financial losses to many companies, including the SPCA of Brevard.
Both of our Thrift Stores and our Clinic were forced to close at least three normal business days, which has caused a devastating impact to our organization's cash flow – nearly a $40,000 loss. Although our income sources were cut off during the storm, our animal care responsibilities and costs remained.
There are 334 animals currently in our care. Between the daily cost to feed and house them, staff payroll, multiple facility rents and mortgages, we are in a crisis after this massive loss.
We are asking all our supporters to "Have a Heart" and donate to give the SPCA the CPR that we so desperately need right now. No gift is too small or large. We need your help to continue saving the lives of homeless pets in our community now more than ever.
